What's in the Box?
Before starting, make sure you have all the included accessories:
-
1 × Cooling Fan & Heatsink Module
-
1 × Thermal Silicone Pad
-
1 × Phillips Screwdriver
-
1 × L-Shaped Hex Key
-
5 × Mounting Screws (4 for Installation + 1 Spare)
Step 1: Power Off Your RG52 MINI
Before installation, make sure your RG52 MINI is completely powered off.
Disconnect the charging cable and any connected accessories.
Important: Never connect or disconnect internal components while the device is powered on.

Step 2: Remove the Fan Cover
Locate the fan cover on the back of your RG52 MINI.
Use the included L-shaped hex key to carefully remove the four screws securing the cover.
Gently lift off the cover and keep the screws in a safe place. You will need them during reassembly.
Tip: Place the screws in a small container to prevent losing them.

Step 3: Connect the 4-Pin Fan Cable
Locate the dedicated fan connector inside your RG52 MINI.
Carefully align the fan's 4-pin plug with the corresponding connector on the device.
Gently press the plug into place until it is securely connected.
Important:
-
Make sure all four pins are correctly aligned.
-
Check the connector orientation before inserting the plug.
-
Never force the connector into place.
-
If necessary, use a screwdriver to gently press the plastic housing of the plug. Avoid pressing directly on the pins.
An incorrect connection may prevent the cooling fan from working properly.

Step 4: Test the Cooling Fan
Before securing the fan module, briefly power on your RG52 MINI to verify the connection.
During startup, the cooling fan automatically performs a short self-test.
What to expect:
-
The fan spins for approximately 1 second.
-
The fan then stops automatically.
-
This brief startup rotation is normal.
If the fan does not spin:
-
Turn off the device completely.
-
Check that the 4-pin connector is correctly aligned.
-
Make sure the plug is firmly seated.
-
Power on the device again to repeat the test.
Important: Once the fan test is complete, turn off your RG52 MINI before proceeding to the next step. Do not touch exposed internal components while the device is powered on.
Step 5: Apply the Thermal Pad
Take the included thermal silicone pad and position it on the designated contact area on the back of the cooling fan module.
Important: Before installation, carefully remove the transparent protective film from the thermal pad.
If protective films are present on both sides, remove both before completing the installation.
Make sure the thermal pad is positioned correctly and remains clean.
Tip: Avoid touching the exposed thermal pad surface unnecessarily.

Step 6: Secure the Cooling Fan Module
Carefully position the cooling fan module over the designated mounting area.
Align the four mounting holes with the corresponding screw holes on the device.
Using the included Phillips screwdriver, secure the fan module with four mounting screws.
Important:
-
Route the fan cable neatly into the corner space.
-
Make sure the cable does not touch the fan blades.
-
Avoid pinching the cable between the fan module and the device.
-
Tighten all four screws evenly without overtightening.
Make sure the fan module is securely installed before continuing.

Step 7: Reinstall the Fan Cover
Place the original fan cover back onto your RG52 MINI.
Use the four screws removed in Step 2 to secure the cover.
Check that the cover sits properly and that no cables are pinched or exposed.

Congratulations! Your RG52 MINI Cooling Fan Upgrade Kit is now installed!
You can now power on your device and enjoy your upgraded active cooling system.
