  3. Select the second-to-last item, Advanced Game Options.
  4. Change the first item, Simulator, to a different core.

Game / Core Type Recommended Priority

FBNeo FBNeo > FBAlpha2012 > other FBA cores
MAME FBNeo > MAME2010 > other cores

2. X/Y

Select based on the screen resolution.

The R36 MAX resolution is:

720×720

This corresponds to a 1:1 ratio.

If Game Display Ratio is set to 1/1, most games will basically display full screen.

Some games have their own black borders and cannot be fully displayed.

3. CORE PROVIDED

CORE PROVIDED uses the default resolution of the emulator core, corresponding to the default resolution of the game model.

This setting allows the game screen to display according to its original scale without deformation.

For example, if an arcade vertical shooting game is displayed horizontally, using X/Y full-screen mode can cause severe screen deformation.

Using CORE PROVIDED keeps the original scale unchanged.

GB and GBC games may also become severely distorted when using X/Y full-screen mode.
